JULY 2010. SPAIN. Restructuring of the Order, a concern of the 54th General Chapter of the Augustinian Recollects The 54th General Chapter of the Order of Augustinian Recollects will begin on the 4th of October in the Convent of Nuestra Señora del Buen Consejo in Monachil, (Granada, Spain). The General Chapter is the supreme authority of the 1,136 religious who live their life of faith in 195 communities spread in 19 countries. Every six years the religious gather in order to discern and decide for their future. The restructuring of the Order is one, among the ten areas of concern to be discussed, that appears to attract most interest.
