He also uses similar expressions in other contexts. Who are these "brothers"? Perhaps they could be the very own brother monks of the Saint, more disposed to share his experience and doctrine.

2009 Annual Report NGO Haren Alde (4928 Kb) Autor: ONG Haren Alde 15 projects in five countries in America, Asia and Africa providing drinking water, outside toilet facilities, as well as education and formation, offering help to the disabled and better hospital equipment; helping nearly 2,200 children from twelve countries in Latin America, Africa and Asia:Argentina, Brasil, Colombia, Ecuador, Filipinas, China, Guatemala, Panamá, Perú, the Dominican Republic, Sierra Leon, Venezuela; and with a global budget of more than one million euros; these are just some of the milestones reached in 2009 by the NGO Haren Alde that is run by the Augustinian Recollects and presented in the annual report of the organization.

Jenaro at the Curia General, delivered the homily. On June 28 Cardinal Vallini, the Vicar General of Benedict XVI for the diocese of Rome, presided at the Lateran Palace the closing of the Diocesan Process for the Cause of Canonization of Fr. Jenaro Fernandez Echeverría, who died in fame of sanctity in Rome in 1972.

Eguiarte, OAR When we have to explain a complex reality to simple persons, generally we use metaphors, images, and comparisons. Augustine was doing the same in his sermons. He knew that when he was preaching in Hippo, the majority of his listeners were persons of low culture and faith that is based on what they could remember in their memory. For this reason, Saint Augustine as a good orator, fills his sermons and explanations of the Sacred Scripture with images, comparisons and examples which were familiar to his listeners
