O Lord and my God, in you I believe,
Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
My only hope.
Listen to me lest I succumb to weariness and stop longing for you;
But let me seek you your face with ardor.
Give me strength to search,
You who caused yourself to be found,
And you have given me hopes of a more perfect knowledge.
Before you lies my strength and my weakness.
Preserve one and heal the other.
Before you lies my knowledge and my ignorance:
Where you open to me, receive me as I enter,
Where you shut to me, open as I knock.
Let me remember you,
Let me understand and love you.
Let these gifts grow in me
Until you entirely transform me.
Amen.
