Vocational Intercessions: Advent And Christmas Season

Morning Prayer

1.—Lord Jesus, announced by the prophets and expected by all the people, inspire in the hearts of young men the desire to continue announcing your name and extending your message of love.

2.—Jesus, when you were born, you fulfilled the desire of those who where waiting for you as Redeemer; fulfill the desires of many young men who wish to follow you through the priestly and religious life.

3.—Lord, you were born poor and humble to save us; grant that our life of poverty and humility may be an authentic witness for those who wish to follow you.

4.—Lord Jesus, you became a child in Bethlehem for our redemption; grant that many children may develop early the desire to serve you through the priestly and religious life.

Evening Prayer

l.—Christ, you come to us in order to call us to your service; grant that our life of conversion and penance may revive your call in us and in others also who want to follow your footsteps.

2.—Lord Jesus, you appeared among us clothed in human frailty; grant that your weakness may charge the will of many young men with strength so they may have the courage to follow you faithfully.

3.—Lord Jesus, you wanted to be born and live in the bosom of the family in Nazareth; grant that human families may know how to appreciate and cultivate the religious vocations of their children.

4.—Lord, you appeared before all people through the sign of a star; grant that our community life may be a light for those who seek you and a way for those who want to follow your footsteps.
