Vocational Intercessions: Lent And Easter

by OAR

Morning Prayer

l.—Lord Jesus, risen from the dead for our salvation, permeate us with the spirit of prayer for vocations.

2.—Lord, you gave us the spirit of conversion and penance; grant that by following your call we may be filled with enthusiasm and generosity for the vocational work of our province.

3.—Almighty God, fountain of all holiness, infuse in us the continued desire for perfection, so that the testimony of our lives may attract many priestly and religious vocations.

4.—Lord, you sent your Holy Spirit to the Church; give us the light of the same Spirit to enlighten the world through our religious life.

Evening Prayer

1.—Jesus, you remained faithful to the work the Father gave you to perform; grant that we may be faithful to our Augustinian Recollect vocation.

2.—Almighty God, from whom all good works come, infuse in the hearts of young men the desire to serve you.

3.—Jesus, Good Shepherd of souls, you know and love us; grant that the Church's immediate need for priestly and religious vocations may be cultivated in Christian families.

4.—Lord, you suffered for us and rose from the dead to give us joy and salvation; grant that our lives, works, and sacrifices may attract many young men to the Augustinian Recollect way of life.
