Festivals of the Virgin and Order

by OAR

Morning prayer

1.— Lord Jesus, by the intercession of most holy Mary, our Mother of Consolation, make us faithful to your call, and infuse in the hearts of many young men the desire of imitating you.

2.— Almighty God, you gave us our Father Saint Augustine as a model of religious life; infuse in the hearts of young men the desire to follow his footsteps.

3.— Lord, you encourage us through the saints of our Order; grant that our holiness of life may attract many young men to glorify your name through the Augustinian Recollect way of life.

4.— Lord, light of the world, enlighten the path of all the religious and priests who have left our Order, and infuse in the minds and hearts of many young men the desire to replace them.

Evening prayer

1.— Almighty God, you gave us in the Virgin of Consolation sweet and secure company; grant that we never feel alone in your service and that many young men may come to stay with us in our communities.

2.— Lord, fortitude of the weak and reward of faithful souls, grant that, following the example of Saint Ezequiel Moreno, we may be strong in suffering and faithful in your service.

3.— Almighty God, reward and glory of all the deceased religious of our Order, grant that we continue their work faithfully, and that many young men prepare to continue our work.

4.— Lord, light of the world, enlighten the path of those who have abandoned our formation houses, and grant that they may be replaced by many other young men who are ready to follow in your footsteps.
