The Augustinian Recollects are a religious order composed of approximately 1200 religious who, living the fraternal life in community, desire to follow Christ, chaste, poor and obedient. They search for the truth and serve the Church while seeking to grow in charity according to the charism of St. Augustine and the particular emphasis of the Recollection, a movement of interiority and evangelical intensity. Augustinus, Recollectio and books
The journal, Augustinus, is dedicated by specific orientation to the publication of scholarly material on the life, works, and influence of St. Augustine of Hippo. In 1966, an Institute of Augustinian Recollect Spirituality was established. In 2006, this Institute merged with the Historical Institute for reason of the affinity of purposes. Its organ of research and publication is the journal, Recollectio, published annually. Read more |  |
 | ONG HAREN ALDE, helping people in need Haren Alde was established in 1992 as a non-governmental agency dedicated to the support of persons and peoples in need. It is directed by the Augustinian Recollects. As a Catholic ONG its projects are of Christian orientation. Read more |
