Getting to know each other is the first objective proposed by Provincial Hernandez for this international meeting of the Augustinian Recollect Fraternities. And so those taking part are sharing their experiences, evaluating and reviewing the journey so far of the communities and praying together. The participants, who belong to thirteen fraternities in four countries, hope to consolidate their identity as Recollects so as to spread, by their own living, the experience of the Augustinian Recollect way of life.

From Spain, we have groups from Madrid, Granada, Motril (Granada) and Alhaurín el Grande (Granada). From Venezuela, we have present the brothers and sisters from the fraternities of Tamare, Puerta de Caracas, Caracas-Caricuao and two groups from Maracaibo. From Argentina, representatives have come from Santa Fe, from San Andrés Buenos Aires and San Andrés Golf, Buenos Aires. The Brazilians are from Río de Janeiro and Belén do Pará.

Programme

13th Sept.- Being convinced so as to convince. Enthused so as to enthuse. Set on fire by God to set the world on fire.

14th Sept.- Review and examine the journey of the fraternities from the height of the Cross. To put on humility and courage in order to detect there at the foot of the cross everything that stands in the way of living the ideal and what has to change.

15th Sept.- To present to the Augustinian Recollect Lay Fraternities the basic notions of interiority, community and mission.

16th Sept.- To know and deepen understanding of the History of the Order and the history of Third Orders including our own Lay Fraternities.

17Th Sept.- Reaping the fruits. To translate into concrete actions and commitment all that has been given and to study ways of putting that into practice. Declaration of proposals.
