The Augustinian Recollects open website with information on Saint Augustine and the Saints of the Order

The Order of Augustinian Recollects (OAR) launches its website www.agustinosrecoletos.com, that, on April 24, starts to offer a complete variety of services and information on Saint Augustine in Spanish, English and Portuguese.

News, videos, audio files, downloadable documents, bookstore on-line . . . are some of the contents of the webpage of the Order of Augustinian Recollects launched on April 24, that will foster the global promotion of Augustinian culture. The webpage is divided in four areas:

Actualities

This area includes the latest news about the Order, the bulletin “Notitiae OAR” (downloadable in PDF file), list of events, a section of downloadable Augustinian documents, and a complete section of videos and audio files. Contents are marked with color blue.

Services

This part, marked by yellow color, provides three sections of great interest to the Augustinian Recollects and to people in general. The section ‘Augustinian Thoughts,’ offers a daily excerpt of Augustinian doctrine. In the Sanctoral, biographical notes of Augustinian Recollect Saints are available, and the readings for their respective Eucharistic celebration can be consulted in the liturgical calendar. This area also contains the index of the most important publications of the Order, AVGVSTINVS and Recollectio ,and with a significant approach to the life and works of Saint Augustine.

About OAR

This section offers lots of information about the Order of Augustinian Recollects, the members of Order, their place of assignment and apostolate, the OAR bishops, and their various activities and commitments (ONG Haren Alde, Missions, Secretariats, Institutes of formation. . .) In the ‘About OAR,’ one can know in detail the mission, philosophy and profile of the Order.

Bookshop on-line

The book section is marked with red color. The Augustinian editorial has already produced more than 100 publications. OAR offers a complete index of each of the published books and, in fulfilling its mission to promote the Augustinian culture around the world, purchase can be done on-line.

If the user wishes to be updated with novelties of the Order of Augustinian Recollects, he/she may subscribe for the Augustinian Bulletin for free, that will be sent periodically through e-mail.

Search Engine

The webpage is provided with a search engine that will help the user locate the desired information.
