Augustinian Recollect Family
The Augustinian Recollect family is made up of different feminine congregations, youth movements and the Secular Augustinian Recollect Fraternity. All of them live the Augustinian Recollect charism with their own peculiarities..
The Augustinian Recollect charism is shared by the monasteries of Augustinian Recollect nuns, born at the same time as the Order of Augustinian Recollects and with the same spiritual aspirations as the first Recollects. The sisters with their contemplative life highlight this fundamental dimension of our charism.

The Augustinian Recollect Missionaries find their vocation in the missions, taking the message of Jesus Christ to the whole world while witnessing the charism of Saint Augustine and the spirit of the Recollection. Their observance consists in living fraternal communion and interiority while in the midst of the world.
Its beginning in the Philippines is closely related to the care of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in the Church of San Sebastian, Manila, as beatas. Their life of dedication and prayer and penance attracted more adherents and eventually they evolved to become a congregation. While mainly in the Philippines engaged in education in the rural areas they have become international being present in Spain, Australia and the United States of America.
Present in Colombia, Peru and Venezuela. they dedicate themselves to the exercise of charity in hospitals, asylums and orphanages. To a lesser degree, they work in the educational pastoral exercising the teaching in the schools of their property.
The work of the Agustinas Recoletas de los Enfermos, present in Colombia only, is linked to the San Ezequiel Moreno Foundation, which serves cancer patients and their families.
The SARF members, who from their lay state commit themselves to live the Gospel in the light of the experience and spirituality of the Order, belong also to the Augustinian Recollect family and participate in their ideals, their spiritual graces and of their fruitfulness.
The Augustinian Recollect religious in the countries where they are present mould the young people engaging them into some experiences of Augustinian ideals in order to live with joy a life based on love and friendship with a strong sense of belonging to the Augustinian Recollect Family.
There are 19 Augustinian Recollects throughout the world who, chosen by the Holy See, carry out their pastoral work as bishops in different dioceses of Spain and South America. Although they do not participate in the active life of the Order of Augustinian Recollects, they are part of the family as they continue to live the charism.
