To be OAR
To be Augustinian Recollect means to live the Christian life in the style of St. Augustine: having a deep experience of prayer, sharing life in community and working for the Kingdom of God
The Augustinian Recollects are religious consecrated to God who live our vocation by opting for a life of radical commitment through the vows of poverty, chastity and obedience. This allows us the freedom to set our sights and aspirations on God, surrendering ourselves to the mission that the Church entrusts to us.

Plow. Plowing involves the careful action of preparing the land for sowing.
Plant. The work of planting is to deliver the seed to the earth with confidence and hope.
Cultivate. This stage seeks that, through accompaniment, the person develops little by little an authentic, free, conscious and mature response before the Lord.
“God called me to become an Augustinian Recollect when I was 18 years old. It has been the best thing that has happened to me in my life.”
Fr. Javier Acero, OAR
