Just as these two eyes which are set in our face and which we call ‘light’ need the external aid of light even though they be healthy and open, so also, our mind which is the eye of our soul cannot know either wisdom or justice if it is not enlightened by the light and wonderfully illuminated by Him Who enlightens but needs not enlightenment.
