During the entire day, multitude of Young people enjoyed a happy and brotherly environment, with the recreational and sports activities as backdrop.
Fr. Ivanildo Sales, upon arriving in Sta. Fe as adviser of the JAR, has been organizing sports and cultural activities as tools to promote integration, friendship or communion, among other values.
He finds sport as an important tool of evangelization and as an attractive approach to engage the youth. For him, the great challenge for today’s evangelization consists in the repackaging of the message of Christ suited to the new generation. There is a need to discover new ways of communicating the beauty of the message of Jesus, as pointed out by Pope John Paul II, when he spoke about the new evangelization.
