The Secular fraternities revise their “Rule of Life” with the help of some Augustinian Recollect experts

Last November 8, the Prior General, Miguel Miró, signed the protocol, which named five religious from different provinces to form the commission in-charge of revising the Rule of Life of the Augustinian Recollect Secular Fraternity. Four days after, such commission met for the first time in Madrid, but there were only four who were able to attend: Miguel Ángel Hernández as coordinator, Enrique Eguiarte, Sergio Sánchez Moreno and Pablo Panedas, who is the general councilor in-charge of the Fraternity.

Pablo Panedas and Enrique Eguiarte are assigned to review the Rule of Life within three months. After which, they will present a working document with a revised and updated text, which will be submitted to a team of experts from the fraternities. They would have to gather to give their suggestions in mid-2013. The final document will then be submitted to the General Council for approval.

Regarding the formation program, the Commission has decided to draft it within the guidelines for the sexennium, or within the themes that make up the plan for the whole Order until 2016. Sergio Sanchez, Miguel Angel Hernandez and Ismael Ojeda, are assigned to elaborate specific themes. They will have to count on the advice and input of the fraternities.
