On the day of Our Lady of Consolation, September 4, Fr. Augusto Uriarte Cieza made his solemn profession in Salamanca (Spain), Spain. With this rite he was definitively incorporated into the Order of Augustinian Recollects.
The ceremony was presided over by the provincial of San José, Fr. Daniel Ayala López de Viñaspre, and concelebrated by more than 20 priests of our Order; among them the Vicar General, Fr. José Ramón, the President of the Secretariat of Formation and Spirituality, Fr. Javier Monroy, Secretary General, Fr. Javier Tello, Provincial of St. Thomas, Fr. Carlos Maria, Vicar of Mexico, Fr. Javier Acero, the teachers of the theologians of Las Rozas, Fr. Carlos and de Monachil, Fr. Miguel Ángel, the parish priest of the parish Madia Mediatrix of Salamanca, Fr. Jesús Jiménez, among others.
The theologians of Las Rozas, Madrid, together with the theologians of Monachil, with the chants of an Augustinian feast, with the chanting of litanies and above all with the care of the liturgy during the celebration, solemnized and praised the ceremony. In addition, three sisters of the Augustinian Recollect Missionaries, persons close to the Augustinian Recollect family and catechists of the parish of Mary Mediatrix, where she supported in catechesis, Fr. Augusto, were present.
Augustinian Recollect for ever
Fr. Augusto, after studying philosophy and theology during the postulancy and Theologate stages in Lima, Peru, was assigned to the community of Salamanca to carry out the year of insertion or community experience. At the end of the year of community experience, he decided, with the grace of God, to respond decisively to the definitive yes to the consecrated life within the Order. In this way, as he himself has emphasized, he becomes an Augustinian Recollect forever.
At the end of the ceremony, Fr. Augusto addressed words of gratitude to those present, in which he recognized the “joy and gratitude” of God in his life. “Joy for this day in which you all accompany me to witness my final commitment to God, to the Church and to the Order. Joy for the gift of the vocation to the consecrated life, “he said. On the gratitude of his vocation and in his process of formation he observed that he sees “the gratitude of God” in people who have led and educated him on the path of Truth (the way of Jesus) and people who have motivated and encouraged him to follow this path, this way of life “, for whom he gave thanks to God and entrusted them to Our Lady of Consolation.
Finally, everyone went to the dining room to share, in a fraternal atmosphere and with a party aroma, the party prepared for the occasion.
