If you are a male over 18 years of age, trust in God’s help and have an authentic vocation to religious life among the Augustinian Recollects, you can become one. It’s up to you to try it.
How do I know if I have a vocation?
You have the answer yourself. We can help you. We offer vocational accompaniment and participate in a discernment experience. We help you, by means of appropriate instruments, to see the signs of a possible call. We guide you in making an informed decision.
How long does the experience last?
It is a personalized process, according to your personal characteristics and the degree of your vocational maturity. You may enter or exit the process at the discretion of you and/or the experience director.
The phases of this experience are postulancy, novitiate, theologate and pastoral and community life. You can read more in Itinerary.
What about my studies, my career, my current situation?
You can continue the normal course of your life until you decide, with the light of the Lord, whether to continue as you are or to change the route of your existence. Your current studies or your academic and professional career can be completed or continued later with a personalized accompaniment in the context of the mission of the Order.
What happens if I decide not to continue in the vocational discernment program?
You will have had a profound experience of Christian life, a greater knowledge of yourself, of the Order of Augustinian Recollects and its works. In addition, you will have more clearly decided your own path.
