56º General Chapter

Walking as one
I have come so that they may have life (Jn 10,10)

News

Prayer

Blessed are you, Lord Jesus, sent by the Father
to give us life,
to nourish us along the way and
to keep us in unity.

May your Spirit help us in the new challenge we face,
accompany us all in the preparation of the Chapter,
and gather us around your table every day.
That in it we may be given:
eyes to see,
ears to listen,
an open and sensitive heart
to assume the pain of suffering,
the needs and the aspirations
of every man and woman.

And, all together,
walking as one with you,
we may sing always the song of glory to the Father,
through You, His Son and our Lord,
in the Holy Spirit. Amen

Logo and motto

Imagen, designed by Alberto Valecillos, shows the need for synodality in our evangelizing mission. The composition in stained glass style refers to the unity of the Augustinian charism, made up of pieces of various dimensions that complement each other to have “one soul and one heart directed towards God.” The variety of colors shows the diversity of ministries, cultures and situations. The human figures, represented by primary colors, the origin of the other tones, point to the religious and the lay people walking as one. The horizon expresses a hopeful future in view of the next General Chapter.

The tagline «Walking As One. I have come so that they may have life (cf. Jn 10:10)”
points to the vital dynamism of the charism. The Spirit-filled life unites us all in Christ and in his evangelizing mission. We walk as one, each new day, with the whole Church to offer life and hope.
